"“Slow Down” Rapkeed Drops His Latest Single Off His Upcoming EP"

Rapkeed makes a return with a Baindo produced track titled “Slow down”. The track is the latest single slated to appear on Rapkeed highly anticipated Test Run EP. The track comes a month after the release of Motivation featuring Lucelif.

In “Slow down” the Diani native reflects on his journey and experience as an up and coming rapper. “You get told you can’t do it because you move differently.” The young rapper makes it clear that you don’t have to move like someone or everyone.

If you can’t move like someone else, don’t try too hard aye, slow down, and go as per your own speed. Again, I was just on my zone spitting that fire like, chill yo’ slow down and feel the vibe.

He also makes clear what his intention are in the music industry, It is money that am chasing.

Keeping his wordplay better than ever, Rapkeed plays around with words switching from English to French and Swahili, as he spits hard bars.

"Kenya’s Rapkeed releases introspective Bars In New Single “War Reflection”"

Kenyan fast rising Hip Hop artist Rapkeed recently released his end and new year track. Titled “War Reflection” the song produced by Baindo at Big Foot Studios, was released on 28th December 2018.

A hip-hop and pop-rap ballad with a somber beat, it’s composition has been compared to Lil Wayne’s “Mirror on the wall” featuring Bruno Mars.

Its lyrics describe the mindset of an upcoming, as well as RapKeed’s goals, state of mind, and Lyrical capability. He goes hard on other rappers, fake friends and haters. One of the rapper’s verses draws inspiration from Lil Wayne’s “Krazy” (2014).

The Diani Native has had a busy 2018, At least for the latter half. After signing with Celebvibestar Entertainment, he has managed to release 4 tracks in a period of 6 months. He released his first single under the deal, “Never Lose” in July, “Motivation” followed up in October featuring Ray Lucelif, the song was well received getting reviewed on top music blogs around Africa Kenyan Musik (Kenya) Kwame Sarfo(Ghana) MusicLiberia (Liberia) Amazing Kenya News among others. He comes in with “Slowdown” in November and recently War Reflection.

As he slowly creates a name for himself, 2019 is set to be his breakthrough. He looks forward to the release of his first EP project, Joint project with RnB artist Donado and Us Based Kenyan Producer.

He will also be soundtracking an upcoming film later this year. Although the journey is long, the future is brighter for this youngster. - Hype Magazine

Mohamed Athuman Mwasengeza (better known as RapKeed) is a Kenyan rapper and songwriter from Diani, Ukunda. He first started music late in 2013 while he was still in high school. But he officially started recording in mid-2014. He was featured by Dice Gang on a track titled ‘Only One’ the first song he ever recorded. Afterwards, he started doing solo projects. He did freestyle (95-sec time bomb freestyle).

He got back to Dice gang and it been a journey. Rapkeed works both with the group and on his solo projects like Slow Down, Never Lose and many more that are yet to be released.

Known for his storytelling, imagery, wordplay, passion and varied song structures, RapKeed brings hard-hitting lyricism with narratives to the Coast, not traditionally known for its lyricists.

In October the Coastal based rapper released his second single “Motivation” featuring Ray Lucelif. The track came after the release of “Never Lose” in July.

Motivation, produced by Sharasha at Blue-Star records is about believing yourself and keeping that focus.

On 2 November, 2018, Rapkeed made a return with a Pro Baindo produced track titled “Slowdown”. The track was the latest single slated to appear on his highly anticipated Test Run EP. The track comes a month after the release of Motivation featuring Lucelif.
