R.A.P. Music/Rhythmic and Prophetic Music was founded by Joseph "J Swoop" Hale in 2008. Our primary goal is to spread the unadulterated Word of God through rap music. Our biggest influence is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, because He is the reason why we are here today! The thing that sets us apart from others is our style is a mixture of downsouth, midwest, and eastcoast rap. I guess it's because Lexington, Kentucky sits right in the middle of them all. Our church, Greater New Hope Christian Center under the leadership of Apostle James and Gloria Smith are the forerunners for gospel rap in Lexington, KY. R.A.P Music was formed to take the gospel to the streets. Brother in laws Joseph "J Swoop" Hale and Norris "Apostle P" Rice began going out and presenting gospel rap to churches and communities around the city of Lexington and beyond. Since then we have been on fire for Christ and spreading the Word with banging beats and life changing lyrics! For we have become All things that we may win ALL men to Christ!
