(2009) SK's debut release, "The Testament", represents the forefront of Washington, D.C.'s long overdue Hip-Hop scene. The Testament is a classic throwback of an era when MC's put together complete albums with real concepts. "The Testament" takes you on a well-rounded musical tour that balances the dualities of man, yin & yang, & good vs. evil with the Nation's Capitol set as the backdrop. Vivid wordplay, infectious hooks, and impeccable delivery clearly puts SK in the category of Rap’s most elite and well respected.

Bio

The D.C.-based rapper's music offers the grit of real life through lyrical mastery and solid production. SK says that “music makes me feel as if it's the soundtrack of my life.”
“It's a particularly poignant statement,” according to a spokesman for A&R Select. “SK's rap is heavily rooted in real life. This is no 'bling bling' fantasy glam rap.”
SK asserts that his rap is “me staying true to myself – real life situations, experiences and witnesses as seen through my eyes.” But he says that while his music is a hard look at life as it is – not how we'd like it to be – the cleansing of facing reality through music also offers him – and his listeners – freedom from the downside of life. “I escape, relax and get inspired for life through music.” He sees hip-hop as empowerment. Confronting the truth through music gives the power to overcome the struggles of life.
“I'm inspired by everyday life,” SK says. “People, situations and experiences that I have encountered.”
