Bio
Seeking a platform for her desires to take her talents to the next level, Empress Addi sought a band. She imagined following after her classical trainings in jazz. What she found was more than she imagined. By invitation, she attended a private rehearsal of Rara Rock, a Hatian Roots, rock fusion band. She fell in love with the music. It evoked a spirit in her which transcended all she had thought in music. The conga drumming took her back to Africa, and she experienced Sankofa! The electric guitar stirred even her accompanying friends, and they danced with reckless abandon-something her conservative nature would never allow. The bass hummed reggae rhythms, and left them all breathless. And with each final note, they yearned to hear more...
She propositioned the band to render background vocals, no strings attached. They accepted. However when she belted her first notes, Patrick knew he had found his new front girl for the band. And like a match made in heaven, Empress Addi & Rara Rock became one.
Today, together they teach and help young children develop their talents, and manage "The Little Saints", a rock band of children ages 9-14. Empres Addi/Rara Rock performs live music all over Florida, and hope to gain the opportunity to go on a world tour.
