Rare Books is the pseudonym for songwriter Efrain Calderon. Previously recording under his own name, and also going by “Calderon” briefly. Rare Books is a revolving cast of collaborators and contributors with Efrain as its anchoring member.
Lyrics often describe personal relationships through analogous natural processes. Musically, Rare Books is raw, ragtime tinged, folk pop with an indie twist that doesn't get too precious.
Currently, Rare Books is recording a debut EP at Serious Business Records in New York City.
