Ras D and the Hyah Fyah Band

Influences are Bob Marley, Peter Tosh & Burning Spear. I was born in Kingston Jamaica started writing at a young age. My first song written and charted was LASCO performed by Fouregan in 1997. I then started performing which lead to a tour across the USA with Andrew Tosh, son of Steppin Razor Peter Tosh. I now live in Sacramento CA. My first album, Give Some Love Today debuted 2004. This album features all original lyrics and music by myself. It included performances by Andrew Tosh, JR Toots, Brendan Munroe, Under-P and Regina Espinoza. Motivated by Jah and influenced by my travels and experiences. It was played internationaly and received great reviews. I then released Love With Meaning. A truly thought provoking song. Which again has taken me to a high level of respect and demand. It too been played internationaly giving me great reviews and lots of air play. I am continually evolving and my music is expanding into a unique mixture of Reggae, Roots, Dance Hall and R&B with Soulfull meanings and deep rhythms. I have performed at Nappa Valley Reggae Festival, Dreadstock Reggae Festival, Kaui War Memorial Convention Hall Hawaii,Monterey Bay Reggae Festival, Red Lion Haiti Fundraiser CA. My band Hyah Fyah has a delicious flavour of international musicians each bringing their own influences. Making our performances diverse with a rich exciting experience. My new album Jah Reign soon to be released is being played world wide already and I'm getting rave reviews.
