Rasi Caprice is the new face submerging on the hip hop scene with a fresh new appeal representing the urban culture and the sound of a city which the nation and the world has always known as the haven for world politics. Rasi Caprice aka" The 1st Rap President" embodies the true definition of a "Presidential MC" with politically charged anthems such as his Marine Corp-esque single entitled "Devil Dogs" and the Capital Hill worthy song "State Hood" which shines light on the contraversial issue addressing DC statehood. Caprice is a new breed of MC who admits to finding his voice in hip hop while being enlisted as a US Marine serving his country overseas. Though he can still recite the lyrics to the Sugar Hill Gang's "Rapper's Delight" from being a fan of the genre early in his life he still admits that his experience in the Marines contributed greatly to his development as an artist. It comes as no surprise that his freshman album "Taxation Without Representation" was recently nominated "Independent Album Of The Year" by the Independent Music Awards with "Devil Dogz" as the number one single off the album being recognized on musiciansatlas.com and independentmusicawards.com. Rasi Caprice has gained a massive buzz in the streets and through his distribution of mixtapes and features on internationally distributed compilation albums such as Black Grove 401 Records Armed Forces Edition and the IMA Finalist album compilation being promoted through Border's Books and Music stores internationally.
