Hello my name is Ras Linga aka "Heartbeat" . I am a producer/musician from Chicago. I've worked with DJ Deluge (Scope Radio on 89.3FM), Wes Restless, Matlock, and Illuminati Congo. I am also a member of iLLmenTed ViBeS.. We dropped our debut album "Lost Art" on 4/20/10 under Big Hip Entertainment and currently dropped "Art Gallery" May 5, 2012 Feat. ILLumiNati Congo, Ras Kalipsuss, Nello Payer, One Be Lo from Binary Star, Vajra Gita, Noelle Wanchic, Complex, Brian Wilkens and many moreĀ I've had the pleasure of opening for R.A. The Rugged Man in 2008, Jedi Mind Tricks in 2010, Josh Heinrichs & SkillinJah at Springfield Hempfest Sep 1, 2011 and went back again to open for Josh Heinrichs, SkillinJah and Cas Haley Sep 1-3, 2012.
While mainstream music continues to become more commercialized and less visionary, many musicians aim to create music containing the substance that radio airwaves seem to lack. It is with this goal that Chicago's iLLmenTed ViBeS has emerged onto the scene and is quickly gaining momentum as one of the hottest rising Hip Hop Crew in Chicago. With a high-energy mix of Turntablism, Hip Hop, Reggae and Soul, they create a refreshing and vibrant sound that can captivate any crowd.
iLLmenTed ViBeS music is driven by its rumbling rhythm section, Rare melodic samples, Crush punching beats and lyrics charged by day-to-day experiences, Poetry, Political Corruption, Love and Hope. iLLmenTed ViBeS often collaborate with other artists, such as Wes Restless (1981 Records), Matlock (Fly Pig/Gravel Records), Lo Gutta (From The Ground Up Ent) and many more to come! iLLmenTed ViBeS will release their debut album "Lost Art" April 20, 2010 on BiG Hip Entertainment featuring the singles All Right, Kush Dream and IV.
