RAS MESHACH

Ras Meshach began his journey as Christopher Samuels, born of devoted Christians parents and raised in the close-knit community of Granville St.James Montego bay. As a child growing up he always have a special love for the music ,while attending school he would write lyrics for other student, He began free styling to his class mates and friends, Ras Meshach then take it to the streets of his community the words goes around and a few months later he was introduced to the mic by a local artist known as Freddy ranks as little dilly on the Super Bolt Sound System. His first stage performance was at Penny Concert at a local venue in his community the audience was surprise with his performance at such young age Ras Meshach continue to perform on a lots of shows in western Jamaica he preformed along side people like Freddie Ranks blacka ranks,white mice and the list goes on. Ras Meshach won all talent shows held in his community until 1992 he migrate to Canada where he continue to do what he love , IN 1999 he release his first cd entitle JAH JAH LOVE which sold hundreds of copies, Ras Meshach then step away from the recording music seen to help take care of his kids all these times the love for the youths and the music never leave his mind for a minute. In march of 2008 Ras Meshach suffered a severed pneumonia a double pneumonia and chicken pox at the same time and both of Ras Meshach lungs shut down and he fell into a comma Ras Meshach was in a comma for one month and on life support for two weeks at the Toronto general hospital, It takes Ras Meshach one year to fully recovered this ordeal because he has to learn to do everything all over again from start ,like knowing the time, month, year, his name ,his family ect...Vanity is his first recording after all of this, he give thanks every time to the most high to save his life Ras Meshach give thanks for all his family’s and all those people who was praying and hoping for him to stay alive he every day remember his best friend Nicolas Blake who was killed by gun men in his house in Jamaica Ras Meshach was inspired by artist like papa san professor nuts lt. stitche ect...
