Bio

Rathbrun (formerly) Wild Eye is a hard rock band from Guelph, formed in 2009 when former Sixlane frontman Craig Waryd replied to classified ad posted by former Bag-In drummer Christine Awasthy. Waryd was soon contacted by former Faultline lead guitarist Trevor Bisch from Kitchener, who was looking to join a new project. After a few months of performing with a revolving door of bass players, Shane Johnson joined the band on a full time basis. Shortly after their formation, Rathburn began performing a variety of alternative rock and heavy metal cover songs, including an all 90s music concert in Kitchener early 2010. The band encompasses a broad range of influences ranging from acoustic rock to death metal to create an original edgy alternative sound with a modern twist. Rathburn completed their debut EP entitled Through the Noise which is scheduled for release in February 2011. The band is planning tour dates beginning in May.
