Ration Of Light

BandFolkRock

"Ration of Light" is a blend of pop/rock with a country flare. With slight influences from artists such as Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks/Lindsey Buckingham,.. "Ration of Light" continues to create their own unique sound.

Biography

Ration of Light was formed in the summer of 2004 by Kristi Mooney and Dave Nose' who began to collaborate in a short-lived rock group called Visibly Shaken. Kristi was the lead vocalist and Dave was the rhythm guitar player and keyboardist, who also shared lead vocals. Each had their own unique original songs they brought to the band. The two realized they had a chemistry of similar style and interests, which propelled them to start writing original music together. Currently Ration of Light plays a combination of original music and cover songs at intimate clubs in the Cleveland, Ohio area. The main goal of this duo is to get their debut CD distributed to record labels nationally and over seas in the hopes of getting radio airplay and a contract to produce a full length studio recording. Press kits are currently being sent to select independent records labels in the United States and Canada. Thank You for taking the time to learn more about Ration of Light.

Lyrics

Changed

Written By: Ration of Light

Don't judge me by what other people say
and don't make decisions by a past I can't escape.
I know that leopards can change their spots.
Please don't make me into something I'm not..anymore

If you look much closer you will see
behind this broken image you'll find me
I've changed in so many ways
I've changed please don't walk away
I've changed

I don't pretend to be so innocent
I know what I have done and I'm no saint
But I don't take for granted anymore
Things that I let slide so many times before

If you look much closer you will see
behind this broken image you'll find me
I've changed in so many ways
I've changed please don't walk away
I've changed

Please know that my heart is true
Everything I am is because of you
You have made this difference in my heart
Please don't walk away without a brand knew start

If you look much closer you will see
behind this broken image you'll find me
I've changed in so many ways
I've changed please don't walk away
I've changed x4

Why

Written By: Ration of Light

Stick and stones could never hurt me like you
Your words cut harder than any blade could do

I'll never be good enough in your eyes
I'll never say the right things to get you on my side
So why try why try

You tell me over and over again all my faults
Standing there on your flimsy soap box

But who made you mighty
Who ever said you were right
so why cry why cry

Don't want you
Don't need you
Don't love you anymore
Don't know you
Can't find you
From who you were before

So why stay why stay

Fine Line

Written By: Ration of Light

As her words sit beside me I can't
walk away
They keep ringing in my head too loud what can I say

There's a fine line give me mine
then walk away
You can't move fast enough before
you wanna stay

RefraIn: As I move in closer
the time passes through
and this dream of another
still you only think it you

As the rain touches my lips I can't taste a thing
It's the sweetest dew on the vine but still it stings

I can feel my eyes are crying
to make them sing
but they get choked by the lies
you keep telling me

Refrain: As I move in closer
the time passes through
and this dream of another
still you only think its you

Well I'm going to chase those dreams away
Well I can't get rid of them there
here to stay

repeat

Discography

Recently, Ration of Light completed their first CD entitled "Midnight Moon" containing 7 original songs. It's a compilation of light and medium paced compositions chosen to represent this duo's style and range as performers and musicians. Kristi Mooney sings lead vocals which are shared by Dave Nose' who played all the instruments with the exception of the drums. Ration of Light produced, mixed and mastered this cd, which was recorded and engineered by Byron Nemeth at Pacifica Recording Studios in Cleveland. This was the first recording project by this duo and is just a sampling of their sound. With an arsenal of many more songs and consistent writing, more projects are certain to follow.
