"Ration Of Light (Midnight Moon)"

Ration of Light is a collaborative effort by two Cleveland singer-songwriters, Kristi Mooney and Dave Nose'. Their music features catchy rock hooks with hints of folk for good measure. Cleary inspired by Fleetwood Mac, in addition, many melodies hint at a watered down Irish pop, with Mooney's vocals often sounding like Andrea Corr (especially in "Why"). Nose' has a Lindsey Buckingham feel, and neither of the singers are scared to demonstrate their powerful vocals. - Shawn Gains -Free Times

Discography

Recently, Ration of Light completed their first CD entitled "Midnight Moon" containing 7 original songs. It's a compilation of light and medium paced compositions chosen to represent this duo's style and range as performers and musicians. Kristi Mooney sings lead vocals which are shared by Dave Nose' who played all the instruments with the exception of the drums. Ration of Light produced, mixed and mastered this cd, which was recorded and engineered by Byron Nemeth at Pacifica Recording Studios in Cleveland. This was the first recording project by this duo and is just a sampling of their sound. With an arsenal of many more songs and consistent writing, more projects are certain to follow.

Bio

Ration of Light was formed in the summer of 2004 by Kristi Mooney and Dave Nose' who began to collaborate in a short-lived rock group called Visibly Shaken. Kristi was the lead vocalist and Dave was the rhythm guitar player and keyboardist, who also shared lead vocals. Each had their own unique original songs they brought to the band. The two realized they had a chemistry of similar style and interests, which propelled them to start writing original music together. Currently Ration of Light plays a combination of original music and cover songs at intimate clubs in the Cleveland, Ohio area. The main goal of this duo is to get their debut CD distributed to record labels nationally and over seas in the hopes of getting radio airplay and a contract to produce a full length studio recording. Press kits are currently being sent to select independent records labels in the United States and Canada. Thank You for taking the time to learn more about Ration of Light.
