Dublin based rock band Ratrun have just returned from a successful tour of East and West Berlin.
The band were invited back for the 25th anniversary of bands and also two rock festivals in 2008. - Dublin City Rock News - Sept 07
Irish rock outfit Ratrun look set for major league success in Germany. The quartet enjoyed rave reviews of their current tour of Berlin and are now set to return home in a blaze of glory.
Influenced by the likes of ACDC, Motorhead and The Cultm Ratrun's lyrics ranging from comical, to damn right sexual, have caught the imagination of an army of young German fans.
And the band's power-packed performances have led to Callum Lapsley and his cohorts being booked for two major rock festivals there in 2008.
Irish fans can catch Ratrun when they perform at Dublin venue 'Eamon Doran's' next Friday. - Sunday World

LUCA, ANDY AND MYSELF (ALAN) HAVE BEEN PLAYING TOGETHER FOR THE LAST FOUR YEARS. IT TOOK US TWO YEARS OF AUDITIONING VOCALISTS BEFORE WE FOUND THE RIGHT MATCH IN CALLUM. WE HAD BEEN IN THE STUDIO RECORDING A FEW DEMOS WHILST LOOKING FOR A VOCALIST. WE WHERE ABOUT TO GIVE UP WHEN I GOT A CALL FROM A SINGER I HAD RECORDED SOME DANCE MUSIC WITH A YEAR EARLIER AND HE HAD A SONG HE WANTED TO RECORD. IT WAS CALLED "DIFFERENCE" - FAIRLY DOWNBEAT, NICE WITH A LOT OF KEYBOARDS AND SAX AND CALLUM SANG IN A VERY 'DAVE GAHAN' STYLE VOCAL. WHEN IT CAME TO RECORDING THE CHORUS I TOLD CALLUM HE NEEDED TO BELT IT OUT, AND HE DID!THE REST IS HISTORY - IMMEDIATELY I ASKED HIM TO AUDITION FOR RATRUN AND WE HAVENT LOOKED BACK SINCE - WHAT A VOICE!
