BIOGRAPHY

Raul Villaseñor Flores

Born in Monclova Coahuila Mexico, the 9 of January 1957.
Lived in Monclova until 13 years old when I was send to Peacock Military Academy in San Antonio Texas, then to Ojai California at Villanova Preparatory School, here is where I started to learn how to play guitar, then to Switzerland for a year in Pully at Lycee Jacard Institute, back to Texas to San Marcos Baptist Academy at San Marcos Texas, finally.. to California, and finish High school in Ojai California .
One year in Kerville Texas studying business administrator at Shriners College, back to México to study more business, but by then I was thinking in english, how did I find out? well I was doing exercise going one two ... instead of uno dos! . In those days I started to write songs in English during class..my influences in music are; The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Tears for fears...
Stared to play in bands in my home town; in Night Flight or Vuelo Nocturno I play rhythm guitar and sing in these bands.. Spiral, Decibeles..
I also play a lot of acoustic, just my guitar and me, singing in concerts, bars, parties..
One of my songs was recorded by Hollywood Artists Recording Company , in sunset boulevard Hollywood California, and the singer is Charles Clark, the song is called, I don´t know how to tell you, it was not a hit (but it can be!),the singer really sounded good, the arrangement they did was country, and they did it well, but my song is pop, so I recorded it later one summer in Toronto Canada.
I have open concerts for Calo in my home town, this guy is like Eminen but in México, he raps in Spanish and has a couple of Girls singing also, we open for them at the Municipal Auditorium, there were about 2500 people, it was great.
I play left hand guitars, Gibson Les Paul, Fender Stratocaster, Martin d28 12, Martin d18, with a Mesa boogie amp.
Married with 3 daughters.
