The best kept secret in music

Still working on that hot first release.

Raveis Kole (Laurie Raveis and Dennis Kole) is a singer-songwriter chemical reaction: a band of two igniting the human spirit through the melding of Raveis’ caramel smooth, emotive vocals and her percussive, groove driven acoustic guitar with Kole’s electric ear candy covering both the treble and bass ends with fingerpicking and lead style guitar.

In the manner of Joni Mitchell, Natalie Merchant, Jack White and Chris Cornell, Raveis Kole’s original visceral lyrics paint a poetic vision of personal and universal truths encompassing the spectrum of what makes us human.

Their music is drawn from an array of traditions: Folk, Rock, Reggae, Latin, Flamenco, and Celtic - and explores everything from altered tunings to jazz and vocal harmonies to create a fresh infusion that will stimulate your ear and your heart.

Raveis Kole’s upcoming Summer Album Release, "Electric Blue Dandelion,” will feature the driving rhythms of rock, reggae and latin based beats with an open, airy feel of Debussy chordal progressions intermixed with both western and eastern scales. "Electric Blue Dandelion" will feature some of their most popular performance songs: "Holding Onto a Rainbow", "Dawn Breaks Through" and "Fearless," as well as a top secret surprise offering.

Laurie Raveis was the 2014 Berklee Online Scholarship winner at Crown of the Continent Guitar Workshop and Festival in Big Fork, Montana. In 2013, her debut 6 song EP, 101, was recorded in Austin, TX with producer Matt Smith. This year, she volunteered as a band coach and guitar instructor at Bellingham Girls Rock Camp.

Dennis Kole has studied with multi-instrumentalist Matt Smith, funk master Dennis McCumber, and jazz improvisationalist Mark Dzuiba, and has an extensive collection of guitars and amplifiers that would even impress Joe Bonamassa.
