Ravenz Gate

Seeing Ravenz Gate live brings to mind that feeling you're experiencing a band that is on the brink of international recognition. Seriously, with the release of their debut album, Less Is More, you are served up tasteful and engaging arrangements of soulful ballads and rocking power pop all delivered with a professional and mature sense of songwriting. You won't find immaturity with Ravenz Gate. The message produced by the 11 tracks on "Less Is More" is one of personal struggle and emotional catharsis. You will feel drawn in by the songs, as they are intimate and inviting, and if you are human - you will instantly identify with their meanings and soul searching melodies and lyrics. Ravenz Gate, the name, was originally conceived during a day dream by lead singer, Leslie Ruland. "The Raven in most Native American folklore, is the symbol of being "carried away" to the next life", she says. Inducing that imagery, Leslie wants people to feel that the band is a gateway for them to be carried away to a new place where they can experience music that is real and soul-searching.
