PERTH melodic hard hitting band RAVIOR are making sound waves in the WA music scene.
The Band, made up of musicians from West Perth and Mindarie, is storming up the Triple J Unearthed charts, is in the final of the Best New Original Band competition and has a string of gigs planned.
Although relatively new to the music scene, the 5 piece outfit consisting of Froggy on vocals, Rhino and Rod on guitars, Kyle on bass and Paddo on drums, are easily recognisable by their massive sound and melodic heavy grooves.
Ravior has been likened to Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots, and they list their influences as Karnivool, Cog and Butterfly Effect.
The band currently holds the number 7 and 8 positions in the Triple J top 100 competition charts out of about 15,000 songs entered, with their self-penned tracks I'm Carrying and Chapters.
The band will appear at the Foundry, Carousel on November 1 and will support Birds of Tokyo at the Amplifier Bar on November 11.
They will also appear at the Bog in Northbridge for the finals of the Best New Original Band competition, on November 25.

(2) The synergetic amalgamation of five passionate, driven, and capable musicians. (3) Crude blade of Irish Celt origin, used primarily inflicting mortal wounds into the belly of Mother England. The Genisis of Ravior:
When the world was young, Ravior was born of local musicians developing presence, confidence, and abilities in the Perth music scene. It was around mid 2006 when Ravior splintered from these ventures as a separate identity, forming one of the most exciting rock prospects to hit the WA soundwaves this year.
Although new to the scene, Ravior has become quickly recognizable for their massive sound, and melodic heavy grooves, earning them a finals birth in this years Best New Original Band Competition, and nation-wide notoriety for their achievements in Triple J’s 2006 Unearthed Competition, constantly featuring in the pointy end of the charts and leading the way for WA.
The past few months have consisted of constant writing and rehearsing for Ravior, resulting in an arsenal of fresh tunes to hit the scene with, and the creation of a rumble in the Perth scene usually reserved for the projects of established artists.
Undoubtedly, this is the synergetic amalgamation of five very passionate, driven, and capable musicians. Sonic Chaos /Parallel Bliss.
