Rawr Vanity; Verb (Roar-Va-nit-ee) – To love who you are...always.
The Story Begins...
If life is a constant battle and love is a battlefield; what then do we brand music?
The answer for Brisbane pop/rock band Rawr Vanity is simple. Music is the frontline to all of these battles, the one thing that can get us up, pull us through and help us strive for greatness, because there is a greatness hidden within all of us. We just need to fight for it.
Rawr Vanity has two kings and two queens standing tall on their own frontline. Based in Brisbane, Queensland, they have been working together tirelessly for just over a year now to create their ultimate royal flush – the perfect song … two parts pop, one part rock and a dash of heavy stuff to complete the perfect musical martini.
Known for their three part vocal lines, catchy melodies and grungy guitars mixed with synth; the band has already received praise from several industry professionals. They have regularly performed gigs throughout Brisbane, steadily building a strong fan base and a tight, professional set.
Rawr Vanity kicked off 2011 with a bang getting to record some demos with one of their idols 'Jungle George' (guitarist of the Veronicas & Holly Tree). Straight from one studio to another they then went into lock down for two weeks to record tracks for their debut EP 'Hold Your Breath', with yet another producer they hold in high regard, Stuart-Stuart of Chartsong. It was here that they created some of their most mature songs to date. The emotionally charged 'Self Destruct', the cryptic 'Champagne Whispers', the refreshingly honest 'It’s So Criminal' and their hard hitting debut single 'Strangers'. The end result is a release that the band is truly proud of.
This is only the beginning though for Rawr Vanity. The remainder of this year is set to be one the band never forget as they prepare for their first ever national tour and continue to share the 'RAWR LOVE' with the world.
