Ray Bernardin

Ray Bernardin

BandCountry

Edgy, acoustic, modern country. Influences include Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, and Garth Brooks. Other influences include Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. We love the organic sound of bongos, piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, etc.

Biography

Katherine and I (Ray) met through our singing teacher 2 years ago and hit it off personally and musically. We were doing covers but found writing to be more gratifying. I (Ray) have been playing guitar since I was 11 years old and my influences are country and popular music; Katherine is a beautiful young singer and a lively performer, her influences are well rounded but she loves country and rhythm and blues. We are both unsigned.

Lyrics

Daddy's Girl

Written By: Ray Bernardin

So young, so naive
Every day of her life livin' in fear
Didn't know if she was to blame... no no
Or if everyone else was just the same

Tears are rolling down her face
As she runs away to another place
Memories will never be erased

She's Daddy's little girl
She's Daddy's little girl
She's the only one in his world
She's Daddy's little girl

So hurt, so blind
Without her Momma by her side
Can't play, can't smile
There's nowhere else that she can hide

Minutes and hours turn into days
As her childhood slowly slips away
Scars and shame forever will remain

She's Daddy's little girl
She's Daddy's little girl
She's the only one in his world
She's Daddy's little girl

She knows that life's a struggle
She's only got herself
And things can only get better
She's done her time in hell

Daddy's little girl
Daddy's little girl
Can't play, can't smile
Daddy's little girl
Daddy's little girl
Daddy's little girl
I said Daddy's little girl
No...
