This Edmonton rockabilly band stands out from the crowd, partly by adding a trumpet and trombone to their lineup. The horns make the biggest mark on the instrumental opener "Asbestos Rock" and " Dead end girl"."Joey ramone street" sounds like a romones song and references some of them in the lyric's,while "Curse of the Django" name-checks an older but equally influential jazz artist Django Rienhardt. The band show a sense of humor in" since you've been gone",a bluesy number where the singer claims he's tired of indian food but not his girls lovin."For the whisky " is the obligatory drinking song that any self-respecting rockabilly band should have, while the rest of the record romps along appropriatly. You won't be sorry about going along for this ride with the Raygun Cowboys. - Chart Attack

Surely there isn't another band in Canada that sounds quit like the Raygun Cowboys. From one track to another,Leasurly-paced rockabilly becomes lightning speed psychobilly- with a dash of brass thrown into the mix for good measur.Tracks like "dead end girl" "one life left" and "Sidburns and switchblades "will have you tapping your toes from the beginning to end, trying f to keep up with the frantic slapping of the bass. While some songs would benefit from a slightly bigger injection of brass-or perhaps just a more spirited one-this album proves that the Raygun Cowboys are a force to be reckond with. - Vueweekly
