"The New Voice of Pop Music"

This Sydney born-and-bred singer/songwriter has come a long way from his childhood in the western suburbs. Ray Isaac recently made his mark on the music scene when two of his tracks, I Don’t Give A Damn and Such a Fool, featured in the Australian film Cedar Boys.

The 24-year-old’s songs were injected into the club scene at the same time as Hollywood starlet Rachel Taylor made her debut in this media-hyped movie showing in cinemas from August 2009.

Of Lebanese descent himself, Ray is nothing but grateful to have his music featured in a film like this.

“Finally a raw film that exposes the reality of the western suburbs and the hurt people cause,” Ray says. “It also conveys the consequences of this hurt, and how we need to just live and not feel like we need to give a damn about what people think of us.”

No stranger to the music industry himself, his song I Don’t Give A Damn was released through Ministry of Sound. His follow-up track Such a Fool (EXM Records) is an all-consuming lyrical narrative that morphs quickly into a raw disclosure of modest insight. Thanks to these releases, the producers of Cedar Boys felt inspired and handpicked Ray’s tunes for their film straight away.

His next single ‘Stand by Me’, produced by US producer Robbie Rivera, will be released in September to coincide with Ray’s album, ‘Goodbye Innocence’.

His signature style expresses pain, love and redemption. It moves fiercely between explosive and functional and has placed him in a position to dictate his own brand of pop-infused soul.

“Whether on the stereo or on the dancefloor, my music is an expression of my whole being and it’s taken me a long time to let go of the fear of sharing it with the world,” Ray says. “I hope that my experiences will make people see that they are not alone and that they are special.”

When he’s not busy in the recording studio or performing at an exclusive function, Ray is investing his love for DJing at Sydney’s top bars and clubs. Thanks to a soulful voice, a strong sense for fashion and an ear for everything danceable, Ray is a force to be reckoned with on the DJ decks.

This is the year to cement Ray Isaac’s place in the ever-changing music scene - which he has an insatiable hunger for, while still avoiding contained statements of boundaries.

I Don’t Give A Damn and Such a Fool are available from iTunes.

Bio

An edgy brand of pop dance music, which sounds like droppin' a shot of Justin Timberlake into a David Guetta Jagerbomb - An emotional, fiery rollercoaster ride!

Ray Isaac is an independent Singer-Songwriter-DJ who has shaped himself into a brand that is sought after by producers and labels who admire his intoxicating lyrics and his insanely original performance style. His signature style expresses pain, love and redemption moving between fear and functional, allowing him to dictate his own brand of pop-infused dance music.

Ray Isaacs debut single U Want or U Dont was released in January 2014. The official music video is out now on Vevo. His second single Who I Am is an empowering ballad he wrote about being free and fighting for equality and acceptance in our society. Ray stands by his belief that no matter what, we have to be proud of who we are and know that happiness only manifests itself when we truly love and accept who we are from deep within.

Ray has also released many club tracks, including the popular I Don't Give a Damn which was released through MINISTRY OF SOUND and went double platinum. He has music out through Ultra music, Blackhole Records, Robbie Rivera, Fierce Angel and Defected.

Rays music will be featured in the new mega dance film East Side Story written and directed by the original West Side Story actor, David Winters. Ray also plays a small role in the film as well as performing the theme song and five of the featured tracks. The film will be released in cinemas in summer of 2014.

Ray acts up to the crowd in his new re-invention of DJ by seducing his audience with Pop/House remixes saturated with tribal undertones in brooding arrangements which hark back to the day of hands-in-the-air fanfare.

Ray Isaacs success is built on his ability to combine, as illustrated by Time Out Magazine, a brilliant electro dance-pop vibe to ignite his audience into a frenzy. Soon the buzz surrounding Ray Isaac will become a ROAR.
