Ray Martin has become one of the song writing forces to come out of Manitoba Canada. Ray and co-writing partner Lyle Foster have won countless MCMA Awards, 2 CCMA nominations and 2 WCMA nominations. Ray & Lyle first came on the "songwriting scene" in Nashville by having co-published a song entitled "Thank You Lord For The Sun" with Famous Music in Nashville, a company owned by Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles. They were awarded an "Honorable Mention" in the 2000 NSAI Songwriting Competition. They have since been selected "winners" in the 2004 Nashville Song Search. Ray had an opportunity to perform at the world famous "Bluebird Cafe" this year as a result of winning the Nashville Song Search.
