By 1976 Ray Materick was a respected Canadian folk/rock superstar with a debut album on London Records that the Toronto Star called "just remarkable... the best folk album of the year!" - Followed by a top 10 hit and three critically acclaimed and commercially successful albums on the prestigious Asylum Records. Ray was absolutely huge in Canada, especially Western Canada. Dan and myself were in the band when he opened up for Santana. After 3 standing ovations and 14000 people eating out of his hands Santana himself went over to congratulate him
