Pacific Northwest singer, songwriter and pianist, Raymond Hayden has been entertaining fans around the world with his signature style of melodic piano and vocals for over twenty years. Influenced by eclectic artists like Chicago, Pink Floyd, Elton John and George Winston
Raymonds unique approach to piano arrangements has found a home in the hearts and minds of audiences from Seattle, Washington, to Frankfurt, Germany and beyond.
Raymond is currently working on the highly anticipated release of his second solo album September Sky, due in stores Spring of 2007. This album will feature the hit Mad World as written by Roland Orzabal of Tears for Fears, which blends perfectly with his original compositions that deal with reflections on life. The release will be followed up with website and newsletter promotions, live performances, as well as radio and Northwest television appearances.
Raymonds piano and vocal work spans a library of CD, DVD and movie recordings as well as live performances all over the U.S. and throughout Europe. Highlights of his career include concert openings for headliners such as Blue Oyster Cult, April Wine, Nazareth and Berlin; writing, producing and arranging his own solo albums; co-writing seven albums for "Lean and Fit" with Rob Rigoni for Century Fitness and recording on other artists albums such as Montgomery Park, Budapest West and Stephen Minor.
In 2002, Raymond released his debut Contemporary Instrumental album, A Doorway Through Your Tears to an excited audience on Seattles, Pat Cashmans morning radio show. The album was also showcased on Q13/Foxs morning television program with Walter Kelley. Raymond signed a distribution contract and tour with Borders Books and Music, and the album continues to sell widely online through companies such as CDBaby.com, Amazon.com and iTunes as well as various other websites. Raymonds popularity and sales also led to a half hour special on a Comcast cable show called This Aint Kaoroke with Pat Cashman.
When Raymond isnt recording and supporting his albums, he is performing with the Pacific Northwests premier cover band Maurice the Fish. As one of the founding members of this band, he has been performing with them since 2002, and is now rated #1 Dance Band in The Pacific Northwest and #3 in the United States by Gigmasters.com.
The release of September Sky in 2007 will be quickly followed by live performances, as well as radio and Northwest television appearances. For more information or bookings, please contact Raymond at mauricethefish@aol.com.
If you wake up each and every morning thinking about what it is that inspires you, chances are that you should be chasing it. Dont let another day slip by without realizing your dream.
