Bio
A little about us. Again our band's name is Raymond & the Professionals and we are a 4 piece band originally from the Greater Round Lake Area. Noel Velazquez a Berklee School of Music grad, plays lead guitar and does vocals. His Brother Rolan Velazquez, also a Berkley grad, plays bass. Anna Mankowski has many roles, as she plays drums, sings, and plays 12-string guitar. Finally, I also play the drums and sing and play the 12-string - (Anna and I trade off during our performances - which makes for an interesting dynamic during the show)
We got together just last fall (2011) and have hit the ground running by writing and playing all original tunes. We have played in many local venues and were even fortunate enough to play the Elbo Room in Chicago! As far as what kind of sound we have its been difficult to define, but we have been compared to Led Zeppelin, Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, and The White Stripes.
