Praise And Worship, Contemporary, Country. Ray has the unique ability to write and sing all genres of Christian music. A transparent Worship Leader that has opened his heart and poured out songs like "Run To The Cross", "I Boldly Come", "Your Word Is Stronger Than Hands", "All For Your All", "Finally Made It Home", "He's God" and countless others. He is a well-balanced artist, both musically and spiritually. He accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and grew up singing in the church with his family. He is the son of a Pastor. At eighteen, he joined the "Hometown Quartet" as Baritone/Lead and also as the Bass Guitarist. He recorded two albums with the "Hometown Quartet" and had three of his songs recorded on his first recording with the "Hometown Quartet". He is currently the lead singer for the “Envoys” (from Charlotte, NC) www.theenvoys.com and helping them carry on their 40 year tradition of great harmony, beautiful arrangements and most importantly their timeless message of the Gospel. He has been blessed to be able to share concert performances with many of the great Gospel artists of today and yesterday. As well as had the privilege to work with great musicians. He has just completed his debut solo album entitled “I Boldly Come”, which is an album of Devotion, Worship and Restoration. It includes 5 great original songs and 5 great Worship songs of today.
As the demand became stronger, and the call became clearer, his ministry has been elevated to a new level by doing solo worship concerts at churches and special events. A concert by Ray Peters reflects not only excellence in performance but a passion that draws congregations into worship. Love, humility, freedom, sincerity and passion all reflect the ministry of Ray Peters. His primary goal is to reach people of all ages with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to present fresh and annointed music that appeals to all.
