Business As Usual

Written By: Ray Saunders

BUSINESS AS USUAL (c)1999 R.Saunders

Verse 1
This Earth is so precious, a gift from the Gods
It could be a paradise, but I don't like the odds
Changing our ways may seem like a chore
But each passing day, the hole in the sky grows more, if we...

Chorus
Sail on, business as usual
Sail on, 'till we can't sail no more
Sail on, business as usual
'Better heave to the shore.

Verse 2
Whatever will we leave to our daughters and sons?
Stockpiles of garbage, and toxic waste drums?
Rivers full of algae, and forests of dying trees?
Oil slicks on the oceans, and a smell on the summer breeze, if we...

Chorus

Instrumental

Verse 3
This world is abundant with many living things
A beautiful melody that Mother Nature sings
From oceans to forests there are secrets yet to find
There's a harvest in the mystery, don't listen to the blind fools, who just...

Chorus
Sail on, business as usual
Sail on, 'till they can't sail no more
Sail on, business as usual
'Better heave to the shore.

Optional verse 4
The people of the forest, the mountains and the desert plains
Surely we should have respect for their traditional ways
These people are the gaurdians of the ancient truths and rights
There's so much there for us to learn, if we open up our eyes. Please don't ..

Chorus

Coda
Whatever will we leave to our daughters and sons?

Heading Down To Cabo

Heading Down To Cabo
(c) 2006 R Saunders & JR Marshall

V1
I'm heading down to Cabo
Got the tiller in my hand
Cool salt spray in my face again
This ship at my command

Inst break

V2
Moving tide, behind me
Stiff breeze in my sails
Southbound on a port tack
Rollin' with the whales

Chorus
I'm bound, for San Lucas
Running fast before the tide
Yes I'm sailing down to Cabo You can join me if you like

Inst solo

V3
Out here, I find my freedom
With the sea beneath my keel
With the wind up in the rigging
My lady graceful on the heel

Chorus
I'm bound for San Lucas
Running fast before the tide
Yes, I'm sailing down to Cabo
You can join me if you like
There's a full moon out tonight
Let your worries all take flight
Cruising down to Baha lights

Alfresco Boogie (c) R Saunders 2006

Riff

V1
Well -- life could be
One alfresco boogie
A-just you and me
And a long black coffee
Grab a seat -- down on your fav'rite street
And watch the people on their feet

Solo

V2
Find a little cafe
Where the sun is rosy
In the late afternoon
When you're feeling dozy
Sit yourself down -- loosen that frown
And watch the people move up-town

Solo
Riff

V3
Well -- life could be
One alfresco boogie
A-just you and me
And a long black coffee
Grab a seat -- down on your fav'rite street
Pull up a pew -- on the avenue
Sit yourself down -- loosen that frown
And watch the people move uptown

Riff
Move uptown now
