His nu-pop style combines funk, rock, R&B and electronic sounds, harnessing the intensity and purity of his sweet, but aggressive lyrics. “I like writing about off-the-radar kind of stuff that no one in their right mind would ever think about.” The Colombian-born
soloist from the United States is the latest, upcoming talent to rock the pop scene.

This must-see live performer sure is sparking interest in Germany. Besides constantly travelling from city to city, firing up crowds with his band in unplugged concerts, Ray is also working on his debut album with award-winning German producer, Claudio Mangione, and his Cologne-based management team. The story of RAY SCOTT begins in Colombia. He was adopted by an American couple, and grew up in the states of Mississippi and Kentucky. His love for performing developed quickly. Ray was only five when he sang “Jesus Loves Me” and “Amazing Grace” a
cappella at his Booneville church. Despite his tender age, he took to the stage like a natural. He says: “It was already clear back then that music and singing are my life.”
There was no doubting his talent. One year later, Ray joined the “Show Stoppers” singing group and went on tour performing Elvis classics. He later attended the Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville, Kentucky, and then the prestigious Boston Conservatory. His
thorough training led to bookings in Montreal, a Coca-Cola tour through the U.S. and performances at Carnegie Hall.

Then Europe started calling. First he landed the main role in the American Music Show at Germany’s famous Karl May Festival. He achieved national stardom in a television casting show, leading ever since to a continuous raft of gigs and TV appearances, giving Ray the chance to perfect his skills as a singer/songwriter. In 2005, the big motivator and believer embarked on a massive campaign, hosting singing and dance workshops at 30 schools across the country, culminating in a concert spectacular. But there is no stopping this dynamic powerhouse of creativity and fun. Ray is currently planning an intense, no-
holes-barred road tour around Germany, with an entire troupe of dancers. The response in Europe’s biggest music market is already phenomenal. There is only more of the same to come from this impressive and ever-blazing ray of light, known as RAY SCOTT.
