RAY WILLIAM ROLDAN / SWING SAMURAI
www.swingsamurai.com

Singer, Song-writer, blue-collar artist, Ray William Roldan, meets an award-winning producer, David Jenkins and Hot shot Guitarist, Mark Hayes and Magic is Made. This music is a stunningly powerful tribute to a single songwriter's ability to inspire some of the Industry's most prolific and accomplished artists of our time. Ray Roldan's deep knowlege of the Blues imprints itself upon the music, though this album can be determined to be true Americana. With Alternative Country and Rock artfully flavoring the melodies. This music has been envisioned by a multifaceted man, it's content as undeniably attractive as the history in it's making. Here is a landmark piece of music breaking all boundries of genre typing. An honest reflection of a man and his desire to bring lyrics to life. And he does so by applying an invigoratingly clever twist on words accompanied by simple but superb musicality.
ARTIST BIO:
Singer, Song-writer, blue-collar artist, Ray William Roldan, David Jenkins and Mark Hayes came together based on the sheer power of Ray's lyrics and unique riffs. Ray was born in N. J. though raised on the west coast. He is known as someone with something to say. As a songwriter, his soul does the talking. Ray has witnessed life from every interesting vantage point. His music gives the listener a glimpse of this experience. Remembering a time when lyrics actually said something, And it is through the genre, Alt Counrty Americana, that Ray found the niche where his Folk-like vision mixed well with a Rock & Country sound. He writes so that his music moves a person, gives them something think about, or to sing to and phrases to laugh about. So when Ray throws a little Blues into the melodies, it is to emphasize the joy of good hard living. And the name "Swing Samurai" was created to represent this mixture of genre and purpose. (With a little of his usual humor thrown in). Ray's vision was deep enough and clear enough to inspire renown musicians to take part in bringing to fruition this California Country sound.

for album:
This is the debut album for Ray William Roldan/Swing Samurai. Two years in the making. Singer songwriter, Ray Roldan, displays his ability for weaving words together with melodies with personal impact. A true storyteller who uses wit and intelligence born from viewing life from the driver's seat. In his words, it's "cosmic cowboy surf blues rock". And these words only partially describe the scope of musicality on the album. After sitting at the table with Swing Samurai, you will walk away satified as you have dined with some of the best musicians in the business.
The new cd "Where we come from will be released late in 2007
