"Razer's Album "Falling in Line" Introduced In Guitar World Holiday Issue"

History: Rising from the ashes of heavy metalers Wardog (Metal Blade), bassist Chris Catero, guitarist Paul Sulllivan and drummer Eric Bongiorno formed Razer with fellow Arizonian Jeromy Graves on Guitar. After finding L.A.-based vocalist Chris Powers through an online classified ad, the quitntet recorded Falling in Line. The ablum's songs strike a perfect balance between Graves and Sullivan's hard-rocking guitar work and Powrs' huge pipes.
TAlk Box: "We tried to make every song really good and have them not sound alike," says Catero. "The result is an album with a lot of cool peaks and valleys." - Guitar World Magazine

Real Heavy Metal, including the edge of '90 Slash Heavy Metal Sound, heavy and solid, reminiscent of Metallica, Alice in Chains. Manly vocal, sounds a little like James Hetfield. The closest sound is Godsmack. Already passed the scale as a demo. Excellent - Burn Magazine

"Razer in the Phoenix New Times"

Dec 14, 2006
Local hard-rock band Razer has quite the pedigree — the five-piece was founded by guitarist Paul Sullivan, bassist Chris Catero, and drummer Eric Bongiorno, all of whom were in Metal Blade act Wardog (Bongiorno also drums for Valley rock prodigy Nick Sterling). After nabbing guitarist Jeremy Graves and ex-Shift singer Chris Powers, Razer recorded and self-released Falling in Line, a sonic nod to bands like Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots. With its thick metal riffs and catchy choruses, the album was impressive enough to make it onto Guitar World magazine's holiday list. Check out the band's live show for your sonic stocking stuffers. - Niki D'Andrea

Bio

Razer is five piece rock/metal outfit based in Phoenix, AZ. Bassist Chris Catero, guitarist Paul Sullivan and drummer Eric Bongiorno formed the band out of the ashes of Metal Blade recording act Wardog. Establishing themselves as one of the valley's premier rock/metal acts, the search for the lead singer was a long and exhausting journey until former Shift front man Chris Powers placed an ad online in an L.A.-based site after deciding to move west from NY. The band heard the voice they had wanted, the voice heard the band hed been looking for The newest offering, "Falling In Line", showcases their keen songwriting talent and knack for blending raw, punishing rock with catchy hooks and great vocals.
