"The Verge Review"

"RazorBladeKisses bring the whole room under their spell, giving the band their undivided attention. Baroque, moody tunes complement an often airy feel, and creating atmosphere is very much the order of the day."

"Neophile Review"

"Garnished with eeire, almost child like female vocals in unison and you have a much more mature sounding, more focussed band and most importantly RBK as they should be, finally realised and given a fresh burst of life. Finishing the set with the stunning 'Ballerina', they exit the stage to rapturous applause. Book this band now, as I see good things for them in the future."

"Donovan Tate Review"

"The debut ep from UK band RazorBladeKisses is very beautiful and brilliant. The female vocals and harmony are superb with an ethereal feel that reminds me of the defunct girl duo band Switchblade Symphony."

Formed at the height of the millennium in February 2000, RazorBladeKisses is a unique band comprised of an unusual blend of varying talents. Hailing from distant Persia, the two female vocalists Layla and Azadeh create unique lyrical and dark melodies, which are ever contradicting, genre defying and teasingly challenging to musical boundaries. RazorBladeKisses deliver what can only be described as the secret recipe for a twisted dark fairytale that would have children crawling into corners clutching their dolls and toys.

The contrasting chapters of this fairytale can conjure back haunting memories from the days of childhood and yet be so fragile, soothing and dreamy as to accompany the listener on the saddest days of a cold autumn and chill the soul on a summer night. The haunting harmonies and sweetly spooky stories unfolded in the bands eerie, ethereal and enchanting sound scapes are innocent, yet deviously deceiving, seductive and edgy.

Whether in a dollhouse or in the deepest core of the enchanted woods, the audience is presented with an elegantly constructed performance that is an intriguing, sensuous and playfully sinister aural and visual musical feast.
