Biography

Fast and melodious Reactionaries delivers to-the-point lyrics and a catchy hook. The bass and drums come from a heavier place yet a compromise is reached with the clear vocals and laid back guitar.

Sarah met Todd playing in a very short-lived band in NYC. Todd knows Tom through some friends in Vermont from where they both hail. They got together and through some false starts and false stops they hit on something and recorded some songs.

The result is an angry and aggressive yet tuneful punk sound.

Lyrics

A Friend Indeed

Written By: Sarah Lippitt

You know you didn’t have to say
Exactly what you thought that day
I bet there was another way
That would have been ok
You didn’t have to roll your eyes
Or pretend to be surprised
Just try to realize
That you’re not maybe so wise

I know what to do
I know how to say “I love you”
I know how to feel
And I know what isn’t real

I accept that love is blind
It’s hard enough to find
If it breaks the ties that bind
Well maybe I wouldn’t mind
And if it doesn’t turn out right
Either way I’ll be just fine
Better risk a try
Than in bitterness to hide

I know what to do
I know how to say “I love you”
I know how to feel
And I know what isn’t real

A friend indeed

I Don't Really Like You

Written By: Sarah Lippitt

I don’t really like you
But somehow I still dream about you
Then I wake
And I scream
Tell me, tell me what does that mean

I don’t really need you
But I’m somehow incomplete without you
And I try
To get by
You stick in my thoughts and I don’t know why

And I try, to get by,
and I think I’ll find someone else to be mine
And I’ve been and I’ve seen
and I’ve burned all I’ve learned

I used to think I knew you
But lately it’s harder to see right through you
It’s absurd
Haven’t you heard?
Or maybe it’s that I never learn

And I try, to get by,
and I think I’ll find someone else to be mine
And I’ve been and I’ve seen
and I’ve burned all I’ve learned

And I try, to get by,
and I think I’ll find someone else to be mine
It’s absurd, Haven’t you heard?
Or maybe it’s that I never learn

Just For Now

Written By: Sarah Lippitt

It’s a sell out, not the plan,
understand please understand.
My eyes are closed, but I still see, I’m not asleep, glad it’s not just me

Just for Now

Just get along, don’t make a noise,
comply beside, all that destroys.
No one argues, no one dares, some are brainwashed some are scared

Just for Now

And it’s then you recall,
those things you said when you were small
Ideas raced around your mind,
but you’ve put them all aside

Just for Now

Getting older, even wise, the wisdom hides inside your eyes
You had your chance, took no shot, never stood up, never fought

Just for Now

And it’s then you recall,
those things you said when you were small
Ideas raced around your mind,
now you’ve put them all aside

Just for Now
