Like a Tree

Written By: Dana Fields

Verse 1
I’ve been bent over
Tossed to and fro
Going where ever the wind may blow
Lord I’m tired, so tired now
But I want to be strong
Give me the strength I need to carry on

Just like a tree
Planted by the water
I shall not be moved
Just like a tree
Planted by the water
I shall not be moved

Verse 2
Trial and circumstances
Will surely come my way
But my roots are in the solid rock
So I’ll just lean and sway
When the wind and rain come
Or I’m scorched by the sun
I shall not be move, I shall not be moved

For my delight is in the Lord
Once I was broken then restored
Now I’m stronger
Than I ever was before
When I dig deeper in Your word
'Til that still small voice is heard
In your presence that’s where I’ll stay
Night and day

Just like a tree planted
By the water
I shall not be moved
Just like a tree planted
By the water

I shall not be moved…Look at me

Vamp w/adlib
Still standing yeah, still standing yeah
Still standing yeah, just like a tree I’m
Still standing yeah, still standing yeah

Repeat till end
