PASTOR BOY AND CHOIR BOY

Joseph “Choir Boy” King was born on May 14, 1982 to the parents of Phillip and Charlean King. He began singing in the church choir at the young age of 13 and has been singing ever since. Joseph grew up in Victory Temple under the leadership of Prophet Benny Holland. At the age of 26 Joseph began attending Light Of Understanding under the leadership of Pastor Charles Strickland. He has two children that inspire and motivate him to continue on this journey. In 2008, Joseph crossed paths with a young man by the name of Deorco Bridges.
Deorco “Pastor Boy” Bridges was born on July 17, 1992 to Wilma Johnson.
She later married Tim Johnson who has been Deorco’s father figure in his life. At the age of eleven Deorco was exposed to the street life, he began his rap career while being exposed to the streets. At the age of 13 he began selling drugs and at 15 he had a baby. It wasn’t until he was 17 that he decided it was time to make a change with his life. He began attending Light of Understanding where he met Joseph.
Joseph and Deorco met up and formed a group and called themselves L. O. U. B. (Light of Understanding Boys.) They encountered many hardships along their journey, but they remained persistent and continued to keep God first. They soon designed their own label called Cross Ova Entertainment which is where they came up with their names Choir Boy and Pastor Boy. They are known along the coast of MS, AL, and FL for their hit single “Holy Rock.” Choir Boy and Pastor Boy now attend New Birth FGBC under the leadership of Overseer Kevin L. Payton. They recently met and signed with Reality Records.
