Born and raised in the Bronx, Jarel Brown A.K.A Young Rel is musician that knows what he wants, and knows what he has to do to get it.
Young Rel started doing music in 2002 after a few of his college friends realized he had god given talent. ?We assumed that he would be nervous when he entered the booth, but once he stepped inside he was no longer Jarel. We had no choice but to persuade him to take rapping seriously and give him the name Young Rel. His versatility and word play on tracks is unique,? said Young Rel?s Friend.
After the discontinuation of college, Young Rel?s hardships guided him to a new love, music. His thoughts began to transition into lyrics, his problems began to transition into concepts, and he precisely stated, ? Music is the only thing in life that feels Right!? Once Young Rel put his complete focus and effort into music, he decided to change his name to Real Right Rel.
To demonstrate his talents, he began rapping over every instrumental, ranging from hard Hip Hop beats to smooth R&B beats. After winning numerous competitions, Rel started receiving exposure. He won the #1 artist of the year award in EHMP?s (Elegant Hoodness Musical Program) 2009 contest.
Most rappers state that Hip Hop is dead, but Real Right Rel believes that it evolved. He?s just waiting to get his foot in the door to show the world what he does best, entertain!
