Bio

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington; Real Rogers has grown in and around music his whole life. With influences from his church background to the sound of local stars like Quincy Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Blue Scholars and more. Real Rogers is the voice for the youth in Seattle.

Since his induction into the music scene in Seattle he and his team have taken critics by storm. Remaining self sufficient in every sense, they've booked their own shows, engineered their own sessions, directed their own videos while personally pushing their music online and in the streets around Seattle. With his knack for tongue twisters and unbelievable wordplay for a 16 year old, Real Rogers has won the hearts of hundreds each time he has released music or taken the stage. Working closely with Dj Same, co founder of their group The M.O.V.E. (standing for Motivationg Optimism through Variety and Excellence) the two have coined their slogan "Its The Move Boy" and gotten fans all over the state chanting it with them.

Beginning in early 2011 the two began releasing music online only to get an amazing response from eager listeners in their first days. Gaining thousands of views on youtube with their first release, "Himi Martin Musik" titled after the third member of The M.O.V.E. They used this momentum to release the 2nd single and fan favorite, "The Tip Off" and began scheduling shows and released his first EP "REAListically Speaking" in March of 2011. Shortly after they linked up with local act The Knowmads and rocked their first show at the popular venue, The Vera Project near the Seattle Center. Selling out their first show within an hour of doors opening, Real Rogers and his team realized they were on to something special. Shortly after that they were booked for shows at venues such as Neumos, The Nectar Lounge and HG Lodge and even had the chance to open up for Nipsey Hussle in late April. The rise of Real Rogers and The M.O.V.E. in 2011 was taken to the next level when they released his second EP "Necessary Noise" online and set the web on fire. Creating the trending topic #NecessaryNoise on twitter, the team was able to continue trending for multiple days and ride this wave of success to receive thousands of downloads on his second full length EP.

With this success the team took to promoting and pushing their product as well as they could. Going back to the studio, they took time off in the summer to perfect the craft and recently release their single "One Big Room" featuring local up and comer Dave B. At the success of this single they have begun shooting "One Big Room" all over the Seattle area and plan to release it in late October along with the drop of their website and a 9 song EP from Real Rogers entitled "Sober Thoughts". Since the release of his third single the support for Real Rogers on the web has largely increased, jumping to over 1000 supporters on facebook within weeks of it's release. With his EP he and the Le Fresh Perspective team are planning a small tour around March with acts such as The Good Sin, KnowMads, Dave B and more for stops in Portland, Los Angeles, and San Francisco among others; hopefully ending in Austin with a spot in the SXSW festivities.
