Bio

When todays superstars said hip hop was was dead, it struck a nerve with rapper, songwriter, and producer Reason. Reason also known as Chad Carr, grew up around different types of music. From being born in Houston Texas, going to pre school in the Bronx New York, and finishing up in Orlando FL, he quickly became a blend of different genres. While listining to the likes of Run DMC, naughty by nature to madonna The Jacksons, and Marvin Gay, music is all he knew, but he did know he wanted to become a rapper when listining to Funk master flex mix tapes. From then on Hip Hop wasn't just music to him, it was his life. Reason got his first taste of the lime light by beating thousands of hopeful rappers in the semi final round of MTV'S Making the Band 2. "It was a tough loss but well worth the experience" says the 24 year old Florida boy. After a few ups and downs he was noticed by football star Sean Alexander in 2006 on a poorly recorded demo, and submitted to EA sports which got him a spot on the most celebrated football game of all time, Madden 2007, becoming the only unsigned artist to ever be placed on a video game. Although he was on MTV and a popular video game, record execs wouldnt shine there light on Orlando FL. Because of its beautful weather and theme parks, it was over shadowing his ability to wow audiences. After several shows from New York all the way to Spain, he was noticed by a club promter from LA and convinced him that he has a better shot out there into becoming a super star. Now a Los Angeles resident he's been seen on BET's "The Boot" and has been the most talked about artist in barbershops and online blogs. The future of hip hop isn't dead, it just needs a good REASON to be alive again. www.myspace.com/thebestreason
