Bio

Reason was born in the Bronx, New York on March 12th, 1982.
Influenced greatly by artists of his era, known as the Golden Era of Hip Hop with such artists such as Nas, Jay-Z, Tupac, A Tribe Called Quest, Snoop Dogg, and Naughty by Nature to name a few. Reason began writing at the age of 16 often quoting his favorite artist’s rhymes yet mostly writing original rhymes himself. Reason found himself in the midst of freestyle ciphers as an observer concealing his skill as he felt out of tune with what other artists were rapping about at the time.
After hearing friends and family introduce him to such artists such as Wu-Tang Clan, NWA, and Biz Markie, Reason finally purchased his first cassette tape, Ice Cube’s Death Certificate, but was still skeptical of the culture. Thus Reason continued to sift through Hip Hop and finally purchased his first CD Eric Sermon’s Double or Nothing in 1995. “Yes I can definitely say that this album was the first that inspired me and really made me love Hip Hop.” Eric Sermon’s: Double or Nothing introduced Reason to artists such as Redman, Keith Murray and KRS-One, Das Efx and PMD.
Reason would write and freestyle honing his skills in the mirror and performing for an imaginative packed crowd in his empty living room. In the mirror he would freestyle until he knew he had skills worthy enough to share.
Finally in 2007 Reason took his show on the road auditioning for the Apollo in Lansing, Michigan and was accepted as a contestant. In the same summer Reason linked up with fellow co worker and guitarist Andrew Steinberg to begin preparations for his debut album entitled In Tune. After nearly a year in and out of the studio the album was released in September of 2009.
