Irish-born musician REBECCA COLLINS put out her first independent recording, "At Sea EP", in 2007 and immediately caught the attention of people with an ear for the alternative, in particular Lyric FM DJ John Kelly who was quoted as saying “Rebecca is at the beginning of what has the potential to be a fascinating career in music.”

In 2008, Rebecca self-released her debut album Chameleon Blues. Recorded in New York, the album blended the edgy rock leanings of Rebecca's song writing with the explosive avant garde playing of her band. The experimental nature and lyrical beauty of her songs was reminiscent of Rebecca's main early influences - ANNETTE PEACOCK and JOHN MARTYN. The result was a raw, visceral album whose dark, bristling sounds established Rebecca as a singular voice on the Irish music scene.

After touring to promote the album, Rebecca relocated to London. Following a year spent writing and gigging new material (including support slots with PJ HARVEY collaborator JOHN PARISH and the legendary JEZ KERR of A CERTAIN RATIO fame), work on a second album is now underway.

Early responses to the new songs have drawn comparisons with artists such as PATTI SMITH, and PJ HARVEY, as well as alternative bands as diverse as KYUSS, WARPAINT and BLONDE REDHEAD . Never afraid to push the boundaries of her sound and her song writing, Rebecca is set to bring her enthralling music to a wider audience this year.
