Rebecca Gill

Rebecca Gill

An acoustic mix of folk/pop with influences from artists such as Eva Cassidy, John Denver and Damien Rice. My music is inspired by friends, life, love and everything in between. The result? Melodic vocals and thought provoking lyrics.

Rebecca Gill is a northern girl at heart but can be found creating and playing her music around North London and beyond. The singer-songwriter started playing the guitar at 18 and hasn’t stopped since.

She graduated in 2008 from Central School of Speech and Drama with a MA in Music Theatre. It was here that her original music really started to evolve and in the summer of 2008 she performed as part of The Flow Festival, Stourport-on-Severn, with international company Spiral.

In 2009 her songs were featured in the award winning short film 'Morrison's Birthday Party' (Frame on Frame). In the same year Rebecca also played guitar on the concept album for new musical 'Heaven Sent' by Adam Linsson.

In 2011 she completed her demo album ‘Me, Myself and I’ available on

2012 has already been a busy year. In March she reached the Regional Finals of ‘Live and Unsigned’ where judges said ‘Great strong voice!.... Your stage presence is great’. The year looks set to continue with new writing, studio work and gigs galore!!!
