Rebecca Ireland's music portrays a life lived from the ground up. Earthy yet angelic, charismatic and streetwise. Directness combined with a deeply personal lyricism imbue Rebecca's gorgeous melodies and sonorous grooves. Her crystal bell-like voice sdoars high above, pure in it's joyful flight of freedom.
This is a woman of substance who has distilled the hardships of life into an amalgamous rapture of word and sound. Rebecca's unique storytelling cascade from her six stringed soul/folk stylings, heralding the arrival of an artist with the untethered soul of a poet and the heart of a lion. A musician who moves to the sound of her own muse; and a person that dares herself to explore lifes deepest challenges.Rebecca performs solo and both enjoys a duo with James Cox on percussion or trio including Brook Rees (both ex- 'Kurtis") on Bass. James brings a whole lot of heart and playfulness to the show with his 'mongrel' kit consisting of stomp, snare, congas & chimes. Brook makes pure magic with his melodic lines on an upright electric bass.
