Bio

Award winning composer and flautist Rebecca Lloyd has attracted worldwide attention for her original compositions for feature films and documentaries. Receiving tutelage from some of the most respected names in the fields of musical arrangement and composition such as Vernon Hill, Robert Dick and Guy Gross, Rebecca managed to stage a major coup in 2002 by securing a commission from China's largest TV Network that saw her composed, conducted and arranged the music for the "World History Series” which went on to be screened to an audience of 1 billion people. Her compositions and arrangements have been performed to entertain the likes of Rudy Gulliani, Australian Prime Minister John Howard and Nicole Kidman. Rebecca has also recently selected by the Sydney Opera House to have her compositions performed for the 06-07 season.

Inspired by dance and creative movement, Rebecca composes music for film, television and performance with rhythm and drive, emphasising particular synchronicity with her subject. Fuelled by passion and flair this modern classical composer is a fresh young face to be watched carefully, with pieces ranging from pure classical to cross over classical and now moving into experimentation with modern contemporary music and collaborating with the likes of rock and dance producers, Rebecca is set for big things world wide.

Rebecca has over 100 original compositions played by classical instrumentalists.
With 4 major releases, including 2 solo albums and 2 collaborative. Later in 2006, 2 meditations CDs which Rebecca wrote the music for will be released internationally.

Rebecca also has many other credits to name, including numerous compositions for National Award Winning Company “Messages on Hold”, to add to this Rebecca’s compositions can be heard regularly on ABC and FM stations throughout Australia.

Rebecca prefers to use Logic to compose her music and imports sampled “Symphonic Orchestra” sounds by EastWest to create real life orchestral sounds. With the right budget Rebecca is capable of providing these compositions and new works using live orchestra’s in a studio setting or live arena.

As a producer, Rebecca has released 3 albums of her compositions, her ability to work with the musicians allows her the flexibility to take any project from beginning to end with assurance of a world class product.

To gain a better understanding of all facets of the film and editing process, Rebecca has studied post graduate studies in “Film and Television” and is well acquainted with ‘Final Cut Pro’ and similar editing and graphics programmes.
