"Listen Up: Rebecca Raabis – Not Over You"

18 year-old Rebecca Raabis is a refreshing new voice on the music scene. The Alberta native recently released her new single “Not Over You” and is ready to take the world by storm!
Also below, check out her music video for her track “Run”! - Amanda

"Dear Red, I just Spot a Rabbit!"

Do you enjoy having a song buzzing in your head? Do you still enjoy getting in your car, turning on the radio and hoping for that song to come on? Well, then you must be really old…lol
I’ve had 5 songs buzzing in my cerebral cortex for 4 weeks now! But ONE seems to be standing out. I call it the Queen Bee (BZZ). A man once told me to “Listen calmly and take a step when you hear it”.
This is how Rebecca Raabis from “Red Deer” did it. One tiny step at a time. Rebecca left her home in Red Deer Alberta, found a place in Toronto and then began looking.
She made it to the Top 3 of the Toronto Final of TGCSS but didn’t win her spot in the Nationals.
Today, I am happy to say that “COMA”, is lyrically pleasing, melodically stimulating and the hook just kicks some serious Ass!
That is why I am Picking THIS Red Deer Rabbit as a “Wild Card” for the National Final.
We’ll see you in Toronto in 2013 Rebecca!

"Spotlight: Rebecca Raabis CANADA'S NEXT BIG THING?"

"I want to help people who think they are stuck in life and can't make it better, to keep it moving. I want to be someone's rock and safe place when everything falls apart." ~Rebecca Raabis

This up and coming independent singer/songwriter is about to prove that dreams really can come true.

Rebecca Raabis has come a long way fast. Defying all adversity, the self taught starlet is already making major waves, catapulting from church choir to opening for bands like Marianas Trench and Down with Webster. She most recently performed in Toronto for the 16th annual Honey Jam all female showcase—all within a mere four years of picking up the guitar. Her raw talent, love of life, and stories from the heart prove the sky's the limit. - Consuelo Bernardi

"2008 Woman of Excellence"

Young Women of Excellence Recipient
Rebecca Raabis
Rebecca is an energetic and optimistic self-taught musician and artist, growing up in Innisfail and moving to Red Deer when she was 12 years of age. She has been an honour roll student – winning academic awards as well as in music, art, and athletics. An experienced song writer and performer of music, Rebecca knew at a very young age that music would play a large role in her future – one of her goals that she set for herself and her music is to inspire people! She loves to perform – hoping to make people happy, which makes her feel good too! Rebecca’s biggest hero and roll model is her Aunt Pam, who instilled a work ethic and drive to succeed in Rebecca, who believes that her life’s experiences have caused her to become a more loving, understanding and harder working individual who can impact people’s lives by being an example of how looking on the bright side can change your life! - City of Red deer
