Rebel Control

Sharing a mutual passion for big-ass basslines, uplifting lyrics and blazing ‘back a yard’ beats, Andy Baron and Concrete Johnson have fashioned a prized gem in Rebel Control - The philosophy, to mutate their beloved reggae into a 21st Century dance phenomenon.

Having commandeered a squatted derelict shop in West London, Rebel Control proceeded to host their notorious jam sessions, attracting a host of top notch musicians including Richie Stevens (Gorillaz / Space Monkeyz), Jeff Scantlebury (Primal Scream / Neneh Cherry) and WinstonRollins (Jamiroquai, Aswad)

A fateful encounter with producer Mike Pelanconi (Lily Allen, Gregory Isaacs) led to Mike mixing a selection of sizzling tracks from the band’s studio sessions, culminating in their eagerly anticipated debut album, Jammin at Rebel H.Q.

Hugely prolific songwriters and certainly not afraid to go wherever their creative heads are at, the band are currently fine-tuning their latest recordings and pushing the boundaries further with their indisputable passion for electronica to dubstep, indie rock to broken beats.

Andy & Concrete have been gracing numerous UK and European Festival stages, increasing their fan base at a rate of knots, whilst rapidly developing a burgeoning reputation as a major-league frontman and bass player / producer respectively.
