The Rebel Crew was formed in the late 80's by a group of new wave Latin b-boys from Houston's north side, Joe B., Lion 808 and Dj U.N.T. Since then they have grown in size and have continued to lace the global dj/dance circuit with their unique bounce of beats and breaks. In 2001, head producer Joe B. and SoulFree formed indie label, Starlight Beats and Breaks to showcase The Rebel Crew sound. They have been reviewed in the industry's top urban alternative magazines such as URB, XLR8R, ENVYHOUSTON, SPUN, DJ, The Houston Press, Rice Addict and more but still travel a bit under the radar.... The Rebel Crew style is heavily influenced by the electro sounds of the late 80's, Reggae, Latin and Breakbeats. Super unique and bouncy style keeps the dancefloor hot. The Rebel Crew is currently on tour in support of the new album, "Nistyle" by female recording artist, Karina Nistal produced by Joe B.
