From the cradle of rock'n'roll come the tunes, cro-magnon rhythms and down 'n' dirty lyrics of Rebels Of The Flesh. Themes of lust and longing, hope and heartbreak, sex and death predominate ROTF's forthcoming album debut, produced by Graeme Robinson (Dubstar) and with guest co-writer Kim Fowley's evil genius in the mix, there only one path this journey's going to take. Its rock'n'roll mayhem from start to finish. Zara, Steph, Dee Dee and Chaz adore their fetish fashions and this influence informs ROTF's onstage look as well as the situationist imagery in its artwork. Like a young feline Iggy Pop, Chaz rolls around the stage and smoke swirls as the urgent rhythms of Zara, Dee Dee and Steph, a power trio of Spiders From Mars progeny, cascade in a visceral pulse of female energy, instruments used as sexual foils in battles for stage domination.
