"RED FIR RELEASE NEW SONG"

Red Fir have released “Ghost in the Water,” off their upcoming album, Old Yale Rd. Fronted by vocalist and guitarist Jordan Mitchell, the Vancouver lofi, indie folk project features Gerilee McBride on drums. Written with the thought of drowning in-mind, the duo put forth a psych-infused, hazy acoustic track. Stream and purchase it below. - Premenant Rain Press

"CONCERT ALERT: MEGAN NASH AND DANA BEELER W/ RED FIR AT PAT’S PUB"

Canadian musicians Megan Nash and Dana Beeler will be bringing their cross-country Wagon Tour to Vancouver’s Pat’s Pub & Brewhouse on June 12th. Joining them for the musically-inclined evening will be local indie-folk artist Red Fir.

Saskatchewan-based Nash released her second album, Song Harvest Volume One, in March - a delicate collection of folk-pop tunes. Following the release, she spoke on a panel at the Great Northern Music Conference, performed at the Snow King Festival in Yellowknife, and was featured in Saskatchewan newspaper, the Moose Jaw Times Herald.

Beeler, a folk-country musician from Nova Scotia, pens “clever stories of love, loss, and lust.” She released her debut album, The Long Goodbye, in 2012, and two years later, won Gold at The Coast’s Best of Halifax: Music Edition for Country Artist.

Jordan Mitchell fronts lo-fi indie-folk project Red Fir, his music a haunting, contemplative journey through his strong lyricism and acoustic simplicity. He released the single “Ending Our World,” in March, and is currently working on an EP.

Check out the Facebook event page for more details by following the link here. It is sure to be a fun evening that fulfills listeners’ needs for indie-folk, acoustic goodness! Tickets are $10 at the door. Don’t miss out!
