Biography

The feeling in camp Red Apparition is one of anticipation and excitement. The band has achieved a level of confidence and intensity through a swathe of live shows and two recording efforts in 2010, and they're just getting started. Bringing an eclectic mix of indie, rock, shoegaze, grunge and blues together to form a strong identity in the Adelaide scene, this band is looking to take the next step in 2011. In November they recorded a debut EP with stalwart producer Matt Hills, releasing the 7 track offering "Action, Drama, Distractions and Armour" on December 17.

Fronted by the ever-prolific Stuart, the vocal layering weaves amongst a wall of smooth, oscillating guitar tone care of Jordan, the self-confessed effect pedal junkie. But the rhythmic drive is something not found in your average indie popsters, with bassist Mike and drummer Anthony channelling influences including Nirvana, QOTSA and Fugazi. With a live performance that is creating a stir in all the right places, Red Apparition are looking ahead to 2011 with a quiet knowing confidence. The stage is set for a huge year for Red Apparition.
