Arising from the sea of myspace over a year ago, Red Dancers Cometh, hailing from Dublin, have quickly amassed a large online following in their myspace playground, and not surprisingly so. With an infectiously savage sound and a pretty unique outlay of chaotic alt-rock, they play it hard, loud and dark, and have been compared before to sounding like Queens of The Stone Age turning south to tell tales from the scorched earth. It's quite an onslaught.
A recently uploaded track Lo-Fi Monastasism adds to growing list of impressive offerings available to stream from their myspace, including ominously dark titled tracks such as 'All of These Sins' and 'Made it my Soul'. It's rock that would have been made for The Book of Shadows - aka the soundtrack to the movie Blair Witch II, a soundtrack bookended by Godhead and the aforementioned QOTSA. Perhaps the Red Dancers Cometh will find their way into a similar soundtrack someday. It's music made for the horror genre. Although the band remain unsigned and the material remains unreleased, they've more than enough material in their arsenal to make a break for world domination now. We have amalgamated from bands that have played in every venue in dublin..3 dates with the frames in whelans and vicar st..a month residency in eamonn dorans in Oct..also supported bellx1, nina hynes, future kings of spain, superskin, turn to mention a few..our favourite venue is the button factory..fact!.:)..weve also played accoustic slots on 98fm, near fm.south dublin radio, new wave..weve recieved feature demo on phantom 105.2, and recorded a 2fm fanning session..we hav aslo amassed a large online following on myspace and bebo..39000 plays last count...we hav been recording our first album for the past month and are 6 trax into it and are v excited to be reaching our potential as a recorded band as live is where we thrive..we play live at any opportunity, we played fibbers on the 27th to a pack to the rafters venue, were in tippery this friday 11th, Eamonn dorans 17th and the lower deck sat 26th ..we so badly want the opportunity to be a part of this event to showcase and prove our ability, once you've seen our show we assure you we will be apart of many H.W.C.H to come.
