"Red Edison on WRIF"

The following is an excerpt from a live interview with Peter Werbe on 101.1 WRIF Detroit Rock Radio:

Peter Werbe - You guys have been playing some great venues lately, and I really dug on your acoustic number. Please introduce this next tune.

Red Edison - This next song is called "Learn," and it is off our latest EP, which you can pick up at all of our shows.

Peter Werbe - It's a great live performance and a tight, original sound, so don't miss Red Edison...

Bio

Red Edison is a post-alternative, retro rock band from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The band has a stripped down, honest rock sound, and does not use decadent overdubs, gimmicks or studio effects to sell their songs. Their sound has been dubbed "the new Rolling Stones."

Red Edison has played venues throughout Detroit, Chicago and the states of Michigan, Ohio and Illinois, and has been featured on several local and national radio programs, and has also contributed two songs to a 'Lifetime Channel' movie soundtrack.

The band was invited to Los Angeles in 2004 to work with Dito Godwin (No Doubt, Kiss, Motley Crue), who helped hone the bands style and approach. Red Edison has been playing shows consistently for over 5 years, and has developed a unique and original rock sound that listeners have come to identify with.

Red Edison's target audience is ages 12-25, both male and female. With the recent success of Jet, Velvet Revolver, and the White Stripes, there is no denying the huge demand for rock. Red Edison has both the sound and the image to make a large impact on the rock scene, attracting both male and female listeners with the sincere and powerful vocal stylings of frontman Mike Bell.

Mike was involved in an auto accident in 1998 that nearly killed him and confined him to a hospital bed and a wheelchair for over a year. Miraculously, he has persevered despite his spinal cord injury, and today is able to walk while only assisted by a cane. During his recovery, he turned to music to deal with the changes in his life. It was during this time that he began to collaborate with his best friend, Tom Bolten, and the two formed Red Edison.

Since the inception of Red Edison in 1999, the band has played countless venues, had more drummers than Spinal Tap, sold thousands of CD's and hundred's of DVD's, and recorded multiple EP's at various recording studios around the country.

Red Edison is managed by Stacy Brinkerhoff of Lennox Management in Orlando, FL. Their most recent studio effort was produced by Eric Morgeson (Jay-Z, Eminem, NSYNC) and recorded at Studio A in Dearborn, MI in January of 2005.
