Bio

Red-Hawk has been in, one form or another, farming all his life. That not being the best way to get your income, he got a brainstorm as he calls it. First thing to do, find a banker who's a pilot first and a banker second. He found one and got himself a helicopter. Figured that by flying festivals and fairs that would help the farm cash flow better. But so far the helicopter has been only earning enough for the helicopter. So, another brainstorm. Since he spent a lot of time in the tractor singing with the radio,
figured he could do a CD, and save the helicopter and the farm!
Though he would never admit it, he has seen more hard times and heartbreak than most. But he has this never-ending belief- you keep working, you keep pushing, you keep looking forward and whatever it is you're after, it will be yours.

Red-Hawk has a weathered and strong look about him, yet an overwhelming kindness. He is a mountain of a man whose lyrics tell a story. Along with a well-suited melody, he takes each song to its highest limits. They have heart, life, and real stories. His song titled “Indian On The Mountain” is so visual that when you hear it you feel like you’re there watching the whole event as it takes place flashing between the present and then back a hundred and fifty years earlier.

“American Soldier” was inspired by reasons to be proud of. His Dad was a WWII soldier. Then, most recently he received an e-mail from a soldier stationed in Kuwait . This soldier along with the rest of the guys found Red-Hawk’s music to be inspirational and touched each of them in a deep way. They wrote “Most of us can relate to your music and the way you display it. We wake up each morning to a brighter day because of you.” Then they asked for an autographed poster. After they received the package they wrote back once more thanking him for everything and that in his honor they would name their Hummer after him! This song is in honor of all the men and women who served in the services from George Washington’s time till the end of time.

Another creation is his first music video done to a song called “A Heart That Is Bruised”. After you watch the video you’ll wonder why everyone else does songs about breaking hearts. His ability to look at life and see it from a different view is what inspires the creativity that produces each individual song so unique.

And last, but definitely not least, to show his diverse talent in songwriting, a humorously good timin’, honky-tonkin’, bar singing song called “Whiskey Bitch”. Now don’t let the title fool ya! The song is about a drink called whiskey bitch and what happens to this guy who gets caught drinking it! (One piece of advice- Never tell Hawk it can’t be done. That’s how he came up with this song.)
